Ghyslain Picard, a strong defender of the native cause, is the chief of the First Nations of Québec and Labrador since 1972. He often has been re-elected by acclamation. As a good diplomat, he easily builds consensuses among about 40 communities. This documentary also presents members of his family, his collaborators and many other native chiefs.
